So, my Mom helped my sister and I file our taxes this year.. which means she knows exactly what we got back. Crap.
We haven't done a 'girls trip' in about 5 years. The last time was Ireland and we visited the town our ancestors came from and had such a great time.. but it's been difficult to plan another trip - and get finances in order. Well, now that she knows we each have a little money - it might actually happen!
Continental has an amazing fare from NJ to Barcelona, Spain for $367 - ROUND TRIP including all taxes!! That's pretty amazing. So - we're looking into apartments and what not for a week in April.
Have any of you ever been to Barcelona?? Where is a good location to stay in? What would you recommend we go see or where to stay!? So many questions..

what!? that's an amazing deal! I've never been to Barcelona but if it's anything like the sights they showed on the movie VickyCristinaBarcelona, you girl are in for a treat!!

Continental is showing the same rates to Madrid, too!! Yeah, it's out of Newark.. but it's worth the few hour drive for those rates! haha..

That is a great deal! Next time I talk to my bff, she's been to Spain many times (for
long periods of time) and she has family there...I'll ask her what to do and see in Barcelona. She probably won't have apartment information, but she I bet she'll have a lot of interesting
stuff for you. (She actually reminds me quite a bit of you. She's a free-spirit and adventurous...like you! 
) Now, that I've said all this...I hope to God, she's been to Barcelona. I'll pm you when I get any/all details. I'll probably talk to her next weekend..unless she
goes out-of-town. (She used to live here, but now she's lives in NC...and she's super busy with classes and work. So, it's hard for us to find time to talk...but we always manage.
